Bhalu, meaning "Little Bear," holds a special place in our hearts and is affectionately known by various endearing names such as Huffle Puff, Hairball, Bhaly Poo, and Daddy's little Princess. Waiting for her arrival felt like an eternity, just as I had eagerly awaited Rafiki. Bhalu is a true gem among our long-haired Dachshunds and is, in fact, my first long-haired Tuxedo Piebald.

Although I've had Dachshunds since a young age, smooth-haired ones were always my preference. However, that all changed when I laid eyes on Bhalu at a breeder's place. A long-haired piebald Dachsie had been a dream of mine for a long time, and finally, the day I saw her, she became a part of our family. I couldn't resist her charm, and the love I felt for her was instantaneous. Since then, Bhalu has been joined by five other long-haired Dachshunds, who are lovingly referred to as the "snobs" in the family, but they are cherished and adored nonetheless.

Bhalu's presence has been a true blessing, adding wit and friendliness to our home. She has a delightful habit of hanging onto my pants, endearing herself even further to my heart. Her playful and affectionate nature brings joy and laughter to our daily lives, and her charm has captured the hearts of everyone in the family.

As Bhalu continues to be a cherished member of our household, I am grateful for the day our paths crossed, and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, sweet, and loving long-haired Dachshund to call my own. She has added a new dimension of love and happiness to our family, and each day spent with her is a treasure to be cherished.
